## What carbon neutrality means at Silvervision.

### Drive efficiently.

Every vehicle deployed conforms exclusively to the Euro 6 engine generation. The entire fleet — saloons, vans, Sprinters, coaches.

### Offset in full.

All greenhouse gas emissions caused by our operations are offset. Not only individual journeys, not only one vehicle category. The entire operation.

### Verify externally.

Offset under CDM, the certificate standard of the Kyoto Protocol. Validated by CTI. Confirmed by Fokus Zukunft. Recognised by the German Environment Agency.

## Confirmed by an independent body.

*“The climate seal we award to Silvervision meets internationally valid standards for CO₂ offsetting, recognised by the German Environment Agency.”*

Fokus Zukunft GmbH

The seal is reissued each year. The most recent certification was carried out in February 2026. It is based on the carbon accounting of all operational greenhouse gas emissions and their complete offsetting through the supported climate project. The methodology follows the Greenhouse Gas Protocol.

"We were the first carbon-neutral company in premium passenger transport. For me, it was clear from the outset: if a company takes responsibility, it does so for the entire operation — not for individual vehicle categories that happen to present particularly well.

External verification is part of that. Without CDM certification and without confirmation by Fokus Zukunft, our climate commitment would hold no value for a client’s sustainability report. That is why we chose this path.

The climate seal is reissued each year — the most recent certification was carried out in February 2026.

If you have questions about our carbon footprint, you are welcome to contact me directly."

## A comparison of modes of transport.

The chart below from the German Environment Agency shows the environmental costs of various modes of transport in Germany.
The coach leads the field at 1.07 cents per passenger-kilometre. It shows the starting position.
The complete offsetting that Silvervision provides for the entire fleet eliminates residual emissions across all vehicle categories.

THE SUPPORTED PROJECT

## Dapein (1) Hydropower Project, Myanmar.

Electricity generation from renewable water resources on the Dapein river, town of Bhamo, Kachin State.
A hydropower plant with 240 MW of installed capacity. The electricity generated replaces fossil-fuel power in the Myanmar National Power Grid and the South China Power Grid.

### Key figures.

## Contribution to the UN Sustainable Development Goals

The project contributes to three of the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

Affordable and Clean Energy

The electricity generated replaces part of the power in the Myanmar National Power Grid and the
South China Power Grid, which is predominantly generated from fossil fuels.

![Decent Work and Economic Growth](https://silvervision.de/images/klimaneutral/E-WEB-Goal-08.png)

Decent Work and Economic Growth

Construction and operation increase the tax revenue of the Myanmar government, promote the region’s
economic development and create new employment opportunities for the local population.

Climate Action

Alongside reducing CO₂ emissions, the project reduces further pollutants such as NOx, SO₂ and particulate matter.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

## Procurement and compliance.

A selection of the questions most often put to us by procurement and sustainability departments. For anything beyond these, you are welcome to contact Markus Karrie directly.

All greenhouse gas emissions caused by our business operations — for the entire fleet. Saloons, vans, Sprinters and coaches. The offsetting applies not only to individual bookings but to the complete operation.

Under CDM (Clean Development Mechanism), the certificate standard of the Kyoto Protocol. Validation is carried out by CTI. Confirmation of the complete offsetting is provided by Fokus Zukunft GmbH, a recognised German provider of climate certification.

The climate seal from Fokus Zukunft, together with the project documentation of the supported climate project (Dapein (1) Hydropower Project, Myanmar). Both documents are suitable for inclusion in sustainability reports and supplier audits.

Yes. The offsetting follows an internationally recognised standard (CDM) and is confirmed by an external body (Fokus Zukunft). It therefore meets the usual requirements for Scope 3 measures in the area of business travel. The specific use depends on your reporting framework — for detailed questions, we are glad to coordinate directly with your sustainability department.

All vehicle categories are offset. The offsetting relates to the entire operation, not to individual vehicle types. Booking a saloon is carbon neutral to the same degree as booking a coach.

It is based on the carbon accounting of the greenhouse gas emissions caused by our business operations. The total volume calculated is offset in full through corresponding certificates from the supported climate project.

Since 2019. The climate seal is reissued each year; the most recent certification was carried out in February 2026.

The chart reflects the status as of 04/2019. We are not currently aware of a publicly available update of the UBA Methodology Convention on the environmental costs of different modes of transport in comparable form. Should more recent figures become available, we will update the presentation accordingly.
