On one side of the Main, the skyline of the banking city; on the other, the Museumsufer with twelve houses in a row – and between them an old-town core that can be read through Goethe. The Römerberg with the historic city hall, the Imperial Cathedral and the Paulskirche as the birthplace of German parliamentarism mark the historic centre. The Goethe House on the Großer Hirschgraben documents the poet's childhood and youth. On the southern bank of the Main, the Museumsufer lines up the Städel, the Liebieghaus, the Museum Angewandte Kunst, the Deutsches Filmmuseum and the architecture museum in a single row. The Alte Oper, the Oper Frankfurt and the Schauspiel Frankfurt form the musical and theatrical centre. This configuration — twelve individual seats, four conference tables, 230 volts, a fully equipped onboard galley with refrigerator — exists in this form only once in Germany. A city tour brings together hotel, programme and appointments over several days.
