Responsibility
Climate action at Silvervision.
Measured. Funded. Documented.
Since 2019, Silvervision has measured the greenhouse gas emissions of its entire operation in accordance with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol. Each year, the company funds a CDM-certified climate protection project to the amount of these emissions – for every vehicle category, not for individual journeys.

What climate action means at Silvervision.
Efficient driving.
Every vehicle in service meets the Euro 6 emissions standard. The entire fleet – saloons, vans, Sprinters, coaches.
Full carbon accounting.
All greenhouse gas emissions caused by the operation are recorded. Not individual journeys, not a single vehicle category. The entire operation.
Funding climate action.
Silvervision funds a CDM-certified project, validated by CTI, to the amount of the measured emissions. The project documentation is available for download.
Responsibility applies to the entire operation – not to individual vehicle categories that happen to present well.
That is why we have measured all our emissions since 2019 and fund a certified climate protection project every year.

EXTERNAL DATA BASIS
A comparison of modes of transport.
The chart below from the German Environment Agency shows the environmental costs of various modes of transport in Germany.
It shows the starting point. In addition, Silvervision records the emissions of all its vehicle categories in its annual carbon accounting.

THE SUPPORTED PROJECT
Dapein (1) Hydropower Project, Myanmar.
Electricity generation from renewable water resources on the Dapein river, town of Bhamo, Kachin State.
A hydropower plant with 240 MW of installed capacity. The electricity generated replaces fossil-fuel power in the Myanmar National Power Grid and the South China Power Grid.

Contribution to the UN Sustainable Development Goals
The project contributes to three of the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

Affordable and Clean Energy
The electricity generated replaces part of the power in the Myanmar National Power Grid and the
South China Power Grid, which is predominantly generated from fossil fuels.

Decent Work and Economic Growth
Construction and operation increase the tax revenue of the Myanmar government, promote the region’s
economic development and create new employment opportunities for the local population.

Climate Action
Alongside reducing CO₂ emissions, the project reduces further pollutants such as NOx, SO₂ and particulate matter.
